Fly Fishing Competition

People will be aware of Martin’s love of fishing, particularly fly fishing. 2018 saw the inauguration of a Fly-fishing competition held at Fullerton’s Dam. Gaelic Games

In 2018, alongside the Chieftain’s Walk a Gaelic games competition was launched. In 2018 the games included football for boys under 10 and 12. This involved 8 clubs and 240 young people all from local clubs. In 2019 the games, again involving local clubs, were extended to include Hurling and Camogie and saw 740 your people participating in the competition. …

Chieftan’s Walk

In 2018, on the first anniversary of his passing, Martin’s family launched the Chieftain’s Walk. Thousands of people participated in the Walk from Creggan Country Park to An Grianán Fort, a place Martin loved to visit.
